Global smartphone brand Vivo has launched its new smartphone, the V50 Lite, in the local market. The phone was unveiled at a grand event attended by popular star and brand ambassador Tahsan Rahman Khan.
Launched on Saturday (19 April), the new handset combines an ultra-slim design with strong performance. Measuring just 7.79 mm in thickness and weighing 196 grams, the Vivo V50 Lite packs a large 6,500 mAh battery, offering long-lasting performance while ensuring style and comfort.
Featuring a high-gloss metal frame and ultra-slim bezels, the smartphone’s 6.77-inch FHD 2.5D POLED display delivers a more vivid visual experience. The V50 Lite comes in two trendy colour options: Titanium Gold, inspired by desert twilight, and Phantom Black, offering a mysterious yet elegant look. With an ultra-clear sunlight display and a 120Hz Ultra Vision refresh rate, scrolling, gaming and video playback are smooth and lively. The screen also supports up to 1,800 nits of brightness and has SGS-certified low blue light protection, helping to safeguard the eyes during prolonged use.
The powerful 6,500 mAh BlueVolt battery, paired with 90W FlashCharge, ensures extended battery life and super-fast charging—just a few minutes of charging can deliver hours of backup. The phone also supports reverse charging, reducing the need for a power bank. Vivo says the battery retains over 80% capacity even after five years.
For durability and reliability, the device offers military-grade protection, five-star drop resistance, and reinforced shield glass capable of withstanding 20% more impact. With an IP65 rating, it is protected against water and dust. Powered by the Snapdragon 685 processor, the phone delivers smooth performance for gaming, video and everyday use.
In photography, the V50 Lite features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with Aura Light Portrait technology, enabling professional-quality photos even in low light. The 32-megapixel front camera delivers sharp, studio-like selfies.
Speaking at the launch event, Vivo Bangladesh Marketing Director David Lee said, “It’s truly exciting to see the passion and enthusiasm for innovation in Bangladesh. At Vivo, we always strive to offer technology and design that feel premium yet are fairly priced for users. The V50 Lite is a perfect example—an ideal blend of powerful features, attractive design and a camera experience that inspires creativity. The smartphone is ultra-slim and more powerful than ever.”
The Vivo V50 Lite is priced at BDT 29,999 for the 8GB + 8GB extended RAM with 128GB storage variant, while the 256GB storage variant is priced at BDT 32,999.
