A fire broke out in a building in Motijheel; four units brought it under control

A fire has broken out in a three-storey building in Motijheel in the capital. After receiving the report, four units of the Fire Service rushed to the scene and are working to bring the blaze under control. The fire started at around 6:15 pm on Saturday (17 May). The incident was confirmed by Khaleda Yasmin, the duty officer at Fire Service headquarters. She said, “The fire broke out on the third floor of the three-storey building. Initially, the cause of the fire and any casualties could not be confirmed. Further details will be provided later.” Meanwhile, news of the fire caused panic among people on different floors of the building. They later came down safely.
